Extensive Experience Not Required

Looking toward the VP debates next week. Sara Palin does not need to claim extensive experience in foreign affairs. There are ample examples of Vice presidents who were smart fast learners like her but without lenghthy exposure to the office. They had a need to assume the Presidency at a critical time. An excellent example is Harry Truman, who had unlike today, been left completely out of the loop, and went on to carry out his responsibilities in an extraordinary way.
